Ok, well actually, its the actress who plays Kaylee - Jewel Staite!

While for most of you, this wont be massive news, I’m a massive fan of Firefly and always glad to see actors from it getting work elsewhere, since they were all screwed by having such an excellent series cut short after only one season.

It also helps that she’s appearing in my (joint) top series of 2006 - Stargate Atlantis She appears in the latest episode (3×20 - First Strike part 1), the last episode of Season 3, and she’s being touted as (fairly big spoiler warning) the ‘Acting Chief Medical Officer’ (due to the death of Carson recently), so hopefully she’ll be around for a bit, as i find her a really enjoyable actor to watch! Guess we’ll find out next season!
