Website Troubles

Well, as you may have noticed, GambitUK.com has been down for a few days. This is because the domain registration expired, and the e-mails that were supposed to remind me of this happening never came (they were apparently sent.).

So, GoDaddy.com, who registered the domain, now want £45 to renew it! I cant afford this, and think its rediculous, so i’m going to be using the .co.uk domain from now on. Sorry about any issues in the meantime, please be patient!

    That sucks big time!

You should either transfer the domain to another provider or get some money. At least your site seems to be intact, hell the RSS feed still works because you use feed burner - handy!

Yeah, the feedburner was dead easy to fix (once i’d remembered my username and password).
Had to go into the database and change a few values to get it to work, since wordpress wouldnt let me log in through the co.uk since it thought it was at .com.
The domain is in holding with GoDaddy (in effect, they have re-registered it themselves), so I cant do anything until they release it from the ‘redemtion’ period. Really does suck, but as you say, could be worse.
Just got to update all the links and records, and technorati stuff etc.
